Hello eaters! I am back from the dead. Obviously, I had to do some errands and that took me like a years to write about this amazing food. Alright, let's just dive into this review shall we? Last week, on 26th of February, I went to Aeon Klebang, Ipoh to grab my hand on this famous fast food. I bet almost every food hunters have tried the Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks already. Shihlin originally came from Taiwan where the Taiwanese sell this food on a truck along the streets in the country. That is why we call this as a street food. Proudly, Malaysia also has its own version of this food which is called 'ayam gunting'. And of course, ours are way cheaper than Shihlin's and the sizes vary too.
I ordered their best sellers which is the XXL Crispy Chicken. True to its name, the chicken was undeniably large that I could not finish it all by myself. I had to save for the next day by the way! However, if you feel like this fancy chicken is not your cup of tea, you might also want to try their crepes and tempuras. But let's talk about the chicken okay? In terms of spiciness, I could not deny that the spices were tongue numbing. In a scale of 1 to 10, I could say the spiciness was on 8. The scrumptiousness was similar to our 'ayam gunting' but way better. I love how the savoury powder complimented the crispy chicken. Moreover, the meat was tender, juicy and the thickness was just nice. It was not too thick that you could get bored as you eat more. However, in terms of its price, I could say that it was overpriced. RM 9.00 for a piece of fried chicken might sounds irrelevant for some. All in all, different people have diffeent thoughts about this. If you are keen to try this, RM 9.00 would not be a big deal right? Now, what are you waiting for? Head up to your nearest branch to try this okay! That is all for now.
